New Applications: In order to obtain a Liquor License in the City of Coos
Bay, you must first contact the O.L.C.C. office at 541-269-4554. The O.L.C.C.
will have you complete an application and all forms necessary and will stamp
the form for the City’s approval. You then mail or bring the original
application and all forms attached, along with a check for $25.00 (non-refundable
fee) made out to the City of Coos Bay. Our location and mailing address is
500 Central Avenue, Coos Bay, OR., 97420, Attn: Finance Department, Room 1.
Your application is recorded and receipted in the Finance Department with
a copy going to the Police Department. We keep the original record in our office.
When the application is approved by the Police Department, it is put on the
next Council agenda for approval by our City Council. Once approved by the
Council, the Finance Director will sign your application, we will call you
for pick up or we will mail you the approved application. You then go back
to the O.L.C.C. office for completion of the process. If your original application
is denied by the Police Department, you will be notified.
Renewals: The same process and fee is used for renewals.
Specials: A special liquor license is when an approved establishment serves
liquor somewhere besides their normal place of business, i.e., wine tastings,
weddings, etc.
Applications are obtained from O.L.C.C. and brought into the Finance Department.
There is a $25.00 non-refundable fee for the first application during the calendar
year. The application is noted in Finance, receipted, and given back to you
to take to the Police Department for signature. All subsequent applications
are marked as paid by the Finance Department and given back to you to be taken
to the Police Department for signature.
